History

The Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church Was established in the early 1930s after a holiness revival was brought to the community.  From the early years, this congregation has been a part of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC,) a historical Pentecostal denomination formed in 1898, but our spiritual roots are in the Day of Pentecost mentioned in the book of Acts.

As our name shows, we are also connected to the 19th century’s Holiness movement, with its emphasis on God’s power to enable His followers to live victoriously over sin. In brief, we believe in justification by faith, sanctification, baptism in the Holy Spirit, divine healing, and the second coming of Jesus Christ.
